We had asked Marnie (who made our lovely tables) to try her hand at plates and after a couple of samples we now have the most amazing wooden plates for the restaurant. They'll be used for crab and starters ... how cool are they !?
Blue Monday Recipe: roasted tomato soup

January is the grimmest month. My birthday is in January. The official
worst day of the year, Blue Monday, is always around my birthday. Oh for a
birthday...

Oh - good grief! Now I am SO hungry. Plates look fabulous and so does the food!
ReplyDeletePlate of squid looks fabulous !
ReplyDeleteHey these are fab! So in keeping with the overall feel and theme of the restaurant. Can I make another suggestion? Could you get some slightly larger glasses for red? When we came, they were small glasses which were filled to the top for us; no room to breathe! Loving the plates and have checked Marnie's website for future domestic table requirements - awesome. ReplyDeletePurty!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks S&J ... yes I know the glasses aren't right ... I'm debating getting wine tumblers ... its on the 'to do' list ... soon to come ...(the bigger glasses I have are too tall for my tables and had a habit of leaping off them !)
ReplyDeleteJust love your new plates does the wood sop up the juices? Food presentation A1 think you have a very good chance of winning Masterchef hahaha as if I don't know I'll just need to have a word to John &Greg
ReplyDeleteWe oil the plates with a little olive oil to stop them getting wet ...
ReplyDeleteThose plates are awesome and the food looks lush.
ReplyDeleteWith regard to the red wine glasses, I highly recommend the wine tumblers. We have some at home and they are terrific.
